Named Scholarships

| Raymond Boykin Scholarship |
|---|
|
The Raymond Boykin Scholarship was established by the Class of 1991 to honor the legacy of Coach Raymond Boykin. In 2024, Coach Boykin’s family defined the qualifications for the award, ensuring it reflects the values he embodied. That same year, the first scholarship was awarded. Each year, this scholarship is given to a rising senior who has been part of the Trinity community since kindergarten. The recipient demonstrates dependability, integrity, and a willingness to help others. They live out an active faith, sincerely appreciate Trinity, and embody school spirit. Most importantly, they display a strong work ethic, consistently giving 100% effort in all they do. This scholarship is a tribute to Coach Boykin’s lasting impact, inspiring students to lead with integrity, serve others, and contribute wholeheartedly to the Trinity community. |
| Clayborne Stanford Johnson Scholarship |
|
The Clayborne Stanford Johnson Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory of Clayborne Johnson. The partial scholarship is awarded to a junior boy who exemplifies the qualities of character that Clayborne displayed. By recognizing these qualities, the scholarship seeks to honor and perpetuate them in others. The recipient will possess the wit, humor, and encouragement of a friend; the heart, modesty, and manners of a gentleman; the dedication to excellence and perseverance of a scholar; and the strength, humility, and courage of a man of God. In both his spiritual and academic learning, the recipient should be described as teachable, and be viewed as a “quiet pillar of God’s strength.” In short, the recipient will be one who is faithful to his love of learning and to his love for the Lord. |
| Henry Meador Scholarship |
|
The Henry Meador Scholarship is awarded each year to the rising senior at Trinity with the highest GPA. This scholarship recognizes and honors academic excellence, celebrating students with outstanding dedication to their studies. |
